Bloomberg observes of ongoing considerations of how to strike a deeper blow to Russia's energy sector, yet without incurring severe blowback on Europe and global markets: "The EU is considering tightening or expanding existing sanctions against Russia in coordination with the U.S., while refraining from major new steps to cut off oil and gas purchases amid a deepening divide within the bloc over how to limit Moscow’s biggest source of revenue."
Die EU zerstört sich selbst. Das ist das Ziel der US-Politik, sowohl Rußland als auch die EU zu ruinieren, so gut sie können, Feindschaft für die nächsten 100 Jahre zu schüren, damit niemals ein Eurasien entsteht. Das aber allein könnte China eindämmen, es gäbe die drei Weltzentren Eurasien, China, USA. Totalitäre Systeme können aber nur Nullsummenspiele: Wir oder die. Die USA sind in einem solchen System gefangen; es wird sie erniedrigen zur Regionalmacht.

Der Begriff Rubel kommt von рубить/rubit = hacken; unüberlegt handeln. Wer unüberlegt handelt, teilt der PONS nicht mit. Ich würde sagen, die Regierungen, die gegen ihre eigenen und die Interessen ihrer Bürger handeln, die USA und ihre Vasallenstaaten, das sind (noch) 48 Staaten.
Nun ist's für eine Weile Rußland, 144,1 Millionen Einwohner, bis die US-Regierung begreift, daß sie sich verwählt hat mit ihrer seit 18 Jahren betriebenen Ukrainepolitik, die ihren "Weltfeind Nr. 1" weiter stärkt. Einen zusätzlichen Weltfeind machen sich die USA eben mit Indien, 1,38 Milliarden Einwohner.

I think the biggest existential enemy of my US is governments addiction to uncontrolled spending. That will bring down the US before Russia, China or anyone else.
